Rusty and Adriane

Missionary, Africa, Sierra Leone

Being raised on the mission field in Cameroon, Russell (Rusty) Riddick has a love and passion for the people of Africa.  In 1993, he married Adriane, who also had a call to missions. Months after they married, they went to Cameroon, where they served as AIMers and later were appointed Intermediate Missionaries.  During this time, Russell worked with the evangelistic team and served as the Director of Evangelism, while Adriane taught in the Bible school and worked in the print shop. They assisted in the ground work of sending the first regional missionary from Africa, Reverend Peter Mua, to Equatorial Guinea.  Due to sickness and health, they returned to the United States where they continued in ministry, knowing that they would eventually return to the mission field.  The undeniable call of God directed them back to Global Missions and in 2010 they were appointed missionaries to Cameroon.  During their term in Cameroon, Russell served on the Cameroon general board, managed church building projects, and planted a church in Douala, a city of over 2.5 million souls. The church still continues to grow and experience revival!

In 2016, Russell and Adriane answered their long felt burden and calling and were appointed to the country of Sierra Leone. Upon their return, they will continue their missionary work, reaching, teaching and evangelizing the harvest of souls in Sierra Leone. The Riddick’s have three sons, a daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter on the way. Todd and his wife Sarah, are youth pastors in Missouri and Ryan and Gentry are currently traveling with them on deputation.
