It is not surprising that Brad Schreckhise, a missionary kid reared in Honduras, and his wife, Lycia, the daughter of home missionaries, would state, “We have a great desire to see new works started as well as other forms of evangelism.” Because of their burden, they served under the Associates In Missions program in Honduras as pastor, in the Dominican Republic as furlough replacements for both the Steve Shirleys and the Gabriel Cruzes, and in Puerto Rico as an evangelist concentrating on the youth. They also started and pastored a Spanish church in Houston, Texas. Brad and Lycia Schreckhise received their appointment as UPCI missionaries to Honduras in September 1996. They returned to the field in September 1998. He pastors in the capital city of Tegucigalpa, conducts tent crusades throughout the nation, and directs the Bible school. He became the president of the work following the untimely death of Mike Edge.
