The Richardsons both grew up as MKs, but their missionary journey together in Madagascar began with AIM in 1994. They received their Intermediate Missionary appointment in 1996 and their Career Missionary appointment in 1999. They have filled multiple roles throughout their missionary career, but the most important tasks they are involved in include Bible School, printing/literature development, and working closely with the administration of national churches (finances and records).
In 2020, their appointment was expanded to include the Indian Ocean Islands of Mauritius, Reunion, Seychelles, Mayotte, and Comoros in addition to Madagascar. They continue to be involved in leadership training, promoting Bible School, and developing literature. Based out of their home in Reunion, they work closely with all nations that have established works, enabling national leadership to grow and expand. Churches have now been planted in Comoros and Mayotte through the program of Regional Missions. The Richardsons travel throughout the year, visiting each island and teaching and training in seminars and conferences, as well as leading planning sessions for growth and expansion. Sister Richardson is the Coordinator for Reaching Africa’s Children & Youth for the region of Africa. Along with subregional representatives, she works to develop literature and train teachers.
