Jason is originally from Mustang, OK, while Alyssa is from Nashville, IN. They were married in 2019 and have a son, Deacon, as well as one due in July. Both were involved in their home churches and in missions before meeting. During their time in the United States, they served as Pastoral Assistant and Administrative Pastor. When they met, Jason was ministering in Scotland at Harvest Bible College, while Alyssa was ministering in Estonia. After they got married, they worked together in Scotland. They taught in Bible colleges and ministered across Europe.
In 2021, they welcomed Deacon to their family and moved to Slovakia. They taught in Bible colleges, assisted with the construction of a church building, and formed outreach groups. They have a burden and vision to plant many churches in Slovakia. Their focus is now on the capital city of Bratislava, which does not currently have an established church. In 2025, the Hefners moved to Bratislava and began holding services in their home. Upon returning, the Hefners will work with national ministers to plant a church in Bratislava and establish a Bible college for Western Slovakia.
