Michael is originally from Parkersburg, West Virgina, but home is Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Tia is originally from Philadelphia, Mississippi. Both have been involved in missions for an extended period in various ways, including helping with daughter works in North America, and have taking missions trips before marriage. Tia also worked in promotion and recruitment for Global Missions. After their marriage, they took their first AIM trip to the nation of Latvia. While there, they were exposed and helped in three additional Russian-speaking nations.
Later, the McBrides were appointed as Associate Missionaries to the nation of Moldova, but due to COVID, they spent the majority of their appointment in Ukraine. There, they taught in three different Bible School campuses across Ukraine, participated in conferences, did prayer walks, and served the church in Kyiv. Once in Moldova, they started a preaching point in the capital city of Chisinau. They also started evangelizing, doing prayer walks, and training short-term workers. Upon return, they will be launching the work in Moldova by focusing on planting a church in the capital city, learning Russian, training and sending AIM teams, and starting training with groups that are open to doctrinal teaching.
